Konrad Kruger
Developing standards and guidelines for rehabilitation in the Kalahari

Konrad Krüger is a multi-disciplinary environmental scientist and project manager with undergraduate training in soil science, botany, geomorphology and ecology. He has been actively involved in all aspects of environmental management, financial provision, rehabilitation and mine closure over his18 year career, of which the last ten years have been with Jones & Wagener. He is a council member of LaRSSA and registered with the Soil Science Society of South Africa.

Konrad’s experience in closure risk assessments started in 2014 as a specialist providing input into the process. Since then, he has gained significant experience with all aspects of the closure risk assessment process, especially quantitative assessments. His skills range from hazard identification, impact determination and risk assessment and mitigation reporting.
